Crustdata ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use our Chrome extension.
Information we collect
We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII). The extension only processes the following data temporarily and does not retain it:
Tab’s Domain Name – Used solely to fetch company-related information via our API.
Side Panel Usage – The panel is activated only when the user interacts with the extension.
Usage Logs – We log extension usage events for analytics and performance improvements. No personally identifiable data is collected.
Free & Logged-In Usage
Our extension offers two usage modes:
Free (Limited Use) – Users can access a limited number of 25 requests per week without logging in. Usage limits are tracked locally on the user’s device and reset periodically via alarms.
Logged-In (Unlimited Use) – Users who log in gain unlimited access. Login credentials are securely managed.
We do not collect or store personal information beyond what is necessary for authentication and usage tracking.
Data Security and Storage
We do not store, log, or sell any browsing data.
API requests are made securely and only when the user interacts with the extension.
No background tracking or persistent monitoring occurs.
Services Used
Crustdata API – Our extension communicates with Crustdata’s in-house API to fetch company-related information. The API does not track, log, or retain browsing history.
Your Choices and Control
Users can manage extension permissions through Chrome settings.
You can uninstall the extension anytime from the Chrome Extensions page (chrome://extensions).
